College Update!

Good evening everyone, I am sorry that I haven't posted on my blog in awhile. I have just been extremely busy with college and all the other changes the Lord has put in my life.
Here is a little update on what has been going on in my life the past month and a half:

  1. September 6th, I started my first day of college class. For the first week Sam and I commuted back and forth to school each day from Murrieta.
  2. On September 10th, our family moved to Riverside- That was an extremely crazy weekend with lots of good friends who helped us move and get settled in to our new house.
  3. Since then I have continued in my college studies and have been working on my GE. I have not decided quite yet on my major... So that has been something that has really burdened and stressed me out lately.
  4. The second or third week of college, my ASL Professor saw me on campus and offered me a job. I applied for the position and a week later got the job.
  5. So now I work on campus at the Tutoring Center as an ASL tutor.- The job has been an amazing experience and has taught me a ton.
    -Now that I am in college and have been praying about what God wants to me seek after. I have realized that God has been calling me to work in the field with ASL.
    -I am not quite sure all that this means quite yet... But I have been seeking help and advice from other deaf/hearing ASL Professors on what I should do next. --This has definitely been really stressful and burdening at times, not knowing what exactly I want to do... But I do know that God has an amazing plan for me and will work it out as He has planned.
  6. I have been learning to be confident in who God has created me to be. As most of you all know, I have always been not confident. So this the Lord has definitely been teaching me lately of how to be more confident and to go out of my comfort zone, even when it's inconvenient. --It definitely has been really hard... But it has been really good.
  7. I haven't really met a ton of people that I am close too. But the Lord has definitely opened up a couple really good friendships. He has blessed me beyond measure with these friendships and opened them up at the right time. -- I can't wait to see how these friendships develop over the next few years and years to come. God is so good!

There is so much more that God has been doing in my life this past month and a half... But right now, this is just a little update for those who want to know some stuff that has been going on.

Even though I have gone through hardships, life lessons, and trials... God has remained faithful and He has been blessing me beyond measure. He has been showing me so many new things and He has been growing me in ways unimaginable. So through hardships, life lessons, and trials... I can still learn and grow and cling to my Savior through it all and find joy in Him!

It's not Impossible

A few weeks ago I was supposed to find out my second treatment for my Kidney Disease that I have. After many Dr. appointments and continually waiting... I was starting to get really frustrated. Today, I started losing hope and I was getting really frustrated that I have been put on one of my treatments and not the other one that is supposed to work with the first treatment. I was getting down and discouraged for not having answers. Then I was continually reminded of a sermon that I listened to a month or two ago from one of my Pastor's. He was talking about how God only gives us the details that we need right now. If we knew everything that God had planned, then we would not want to go on this long journey... So we need to continually thank God for the details He has only provided for now.  As I was continuing through my day working and doing homework... I became really discouraged again. Broken

This song called, Broken is extremely encouraging and has been a huge encouragement to me. The lyrics are extremely powerful. Honestly this song is exactly how I feel currently. Literally I feel like I am barely holding on... But I keep reminding myself that God has a purpose for me even if I don't see it right now...  I just need to keep remembering that God has some sort of plan, even if I don't feel that way.

Weight/emotions

Life has been insanely crazy! I am constantly just trying to get a breath of fresh air, but then I am constantly drowning in something else. With health issues, working 4-5 days a week, school, relationships, etc... I feel like I am barely able to keep up.  I just thought that I would update everyone! -since I have been on my first treatment, I have not had any kidney pain at all, I have not been waking up each morning sick, and I have more energy. However, with this treatment I have gained a ton of weight that I lost in the Summer, I have been depressed more, and emotionally I have been a wreck. It has been really difficult... Everywhere I go, I feel like I am being judged or looked down on for my body image. I feel like I look ugly, I feel disgusting knowing that I have gained weight, etc.  Honestly, the struggle is real... I have been finding myself not wanting to go out with people I know. I am terrified to go out with friends, because I feel like others look down on me...
