2020 Cannot Defeat Us

 Hey friends,

So sorry it's been awhile. Life has been so insane in 2020! I know that all of you will probably agree with me on that. Honestly, it has been a year full of challenges all around. As I think back of all that has gone on in 2020, I am looking more and more forward to this year coming to a close. I know that ultimately God has a reason for everything that is happening, however it has been quite the year of craziness and obstacles.

To give a little update about what is going on lately... As of this coming Monday, I will be 4 weeks away from finishing my BA in Early Childhood Studies with a minor in Psychology. I am on my last two classes right now. One of the classes is really challenging and hard, but I know that I can get through it and pass it. The last week, I have been extremely sick on top of trying to stay on top of classes which has been really hard. I know that God will get be through this and it's just another thing that will eventually help me to be stronger in the end.

To be completely honest, the last week hast been a really challenging time for me. I have been feeling extremely overwhelmed, stressed, depressed, and alone. It is a real feeling friend! I know that it may seem like I am being depressing, but I just want to be real with you all. Even though I am real, I always want to point everyone back to the truths as well.

So even though I am feeling all of these negative feelings right now, I know that I will get through this and it is just a season in my life. It is an opportunity for me to grow and learn to lean on God even when it gets hard. I love my independence, but every time I feel down or any of these negative feelings... I am reminded that I cannot do this on my own strength. I need God! And I need my family and friends as well.

I just wanted to encourage anyone who may be going through a hard time... Whether it is being overwhelmed, sick, depressed, feeling hopeless, or whatever it may be... You are not alone! Don't be independent where you don't want help. God is there for you to help you and guide you along the way. And also, He has placed people in your life who are willing to help you and be there for you. Allow your family and friends to do things to help you get better. Whether that is allowing someone to call you on the phone and be a source of encouragement, or a letter in the mail, or bringing you a meal, going shopping for you, giving you a just because gift, sending you a song that can encourage you, etc. Allow people to help you friends! I know it can be hard... Trust me! I struggle with allowing people to help me and be there for me. But God has placed these people in your life to be there for you and help you in life. Don't rob people of being able to bless you.

I am praying for each and every one of you who may be going through a tough time. Remember, you are not alone! God is on your side and family and friends are there for you as well. I am here if any of you guys need to talk through anything. We got this! 2020 cannot defeat us!
